Fight Night 95: Cyborg Decimates Again For Home Crowd
Fight Night 95 was a fairly decent show studded with a good main-card. Cris Cyborg decimated and over-matched her opponent yet again. This time she defeated Lina Lansberg. She ragdolled Lansberg on the mat, busted up her body with knees and kicks, smashed her left eye and bloodied her nose with punches and elbows. The refree Mario Yamasaki finally stopped the fight about midway through the 2nd round. It might have been a little longer than her previous dominations, but in no way starkly different.
Dominant Cyborg
Cyborg is an amazing athlete. A truly gifted fighter with a penchant for violence. She is a star attraction every single time she steps inside the octagon. The broadcast team also dubbed her as the greatest women’s fighter.
However there is something really disturbing with each Cris Cyborg fight in UFC. She is pitted continuously against fighters with little experience.
This leads to squash fights, which guarantee her win. What is even more disturbing is the manner she runs through her opponents which just gets meaner and nastier with each outcome.
Fight Nights are relatively small shows and do not advertise big names for it. Cyborg however stands out. She gave one hell of a show to her home crowd.
She made the weight after initial concerns earlier this week. She recovered from the cut and totally dominated with strikes. Such striked were not seen in the UFC for a very long time.
Lansberg too shined in this defeat. The way she absorbed a hell of brutality and stressed out Cris to second round, which in itself is an achievement.
We can hope Cyborg for much more realistic fights in future. Cyborg can take up Tate, Nunes or Holms. If there are any plans for a Rousey fight, she should have some experience.
